Washington, DC – Iowa native ReShonda Young of Waterloo has been invited to speak at a press conference on Thursday on the US Capitol Steps as Nancy Pelosi and other Democratic Women announce their economic agenda for women.  Young will give a woman’s perspective on the need for pay equity and a fair minimum wage.

See below for the advisory from Nancy Pelosi’s office.

Young is part of a delegation of small business owners from across the nation who are in Washington, D.C., this week to talk with their congressional representatives. Chief among the issues discussed will be the importance of passing immigration reform with a roadmap to citizenship, which holds the potential to give a much needed boost to Main Streets throughout the United States.

Iowa small business leaders, Chris Petersen and Reshonda Young will meet with Representative Latham, and Senators Harkin and Grassley to urge them to work on a reform bill with a roadmap to citizenship.  Bringing the undocumented out of the shadows will create jobs, spur new business formation, boost customer demand on Main Street, and strengthen the country’s fiscal position.
