Tuesday, August 6 at 10 am in Des Moines!!
Last Saturday, Senators Harkin and Begich took to MSNBC to promote their plan to expand Social Security. It put the campaign to improve the lives of millions of Americans in front of a national audience — now we’re bringing it locally to Iowa.
TOMORROW, Tuesday August 6, there will be a press conference in Des Moines, to talk about this popular idea and build momentum in the Senate. Senator Harkin and other local leaders are lined up to speak.
The details:
What: Press Conference for Expanding Social Security
When: Tuesday, August 6th, at 10:00 AM
Where: Polk County North Senior Center
2nd Street & Euclid Ave. (in Park Fair Mall)
Des Moines, IA 50313
Already, hundreds of leaders and policy experts have joined Senators Harkin and Begich and spoken out in favor of expanding Social Security. We need to keep the momentum going and show Congress that expanding Social Security isn’t just the popular thing to do — it’s also the right thing to do.
